Recovery Breath Level 1

This is a simple beginner breathing technique that will support your physical recovery from muscle soreness by maximizing your body's ability to repair by returning to homeostasis and improve the health of your heart through improving your Heart Rate Variability (HRV). By the consistent practice of breathing at a rate of 6 breaths per minute called 'resonant breathing' for the first section of the practice and then adding a gentle breath-hold for an easier recovery breath sequence, you will be increasing the adaptability of your cardiovascular system, optimizing oxygenation through greater blood flow to muscles and brain regions, gently increasing your carbon dioxide levels, and decreasing stress hormones whilst calming your mind.
